::welcome back, MRS::

Let's take a moment to wipe off those cobwebs that gathered since...February!

On June 1st, Jay and I got married in a garden with our family and closest friends. It was a dream. I mean, completely magical and the best day of my life. In order to relive it, I'll be sharing a few images, DIY projects and our wedding trailer here soon!

We were so overwhelmed with love, and so grateful for the people who celebrated with us. My mom played a huge part in making this dream come true, and topped it all off by making the most beautiful dress I'll ever wear. It was so special planning this with her and my little sister/maid of honor.

I love you, Jay. Forever & ever.

::coupledom::

We're starting to get things settled in our new home. And, it still doesn't feel real sometimes. It's like I'm on a long vacation in someone's house. There are times when I still think my belongings are in our old place. Perhaps a housewarming party will help!

One thing I know for sure is that I really enjoy sharing a space with Jay. I'll try to avoid the lovey-dovey talk (I guess I'm on that path because I just designed our Save the Dates!), but it's true. All the little things that I notice about him makes me happy to know that he's mine. Coupledom is a wonderful thing.

::feeling...::

Some wonderful friends threw us a little engagement party Sunday night at a new winery in Norfolk. We had a private table in the back, sipped on their Mermaid wines and celebrated love. They've sure made the transition to Virginia a lot easier and we're lucky to have them in our lives.

::better together::

I'm riding solo this weekend. He's in South Carolina. Funny how a few days apart can feel like a whole lot longer. It's just better when we're together.

Although, I do have a weekend dedicated to 6 petals. We'll be at the Olde Towne Market Day on Saturday, prepping for a much needed shop update, and writing content for the new homepage design. I'm so excited to share the 6 petals vintage clothing collection too-- coming this summer!

::love is in the air::

Remember this beautiful day? It was a very special moment for us, and we're thrilled to spend a lifetime together...and plan an outta-this-world wedding with our family and friends! Jay and I have been dating over 5 years and we've been together since the day night we met (over a game of beer pong in college– we bonded over our competitiveness ). He managed to get my number from one of my friends the next day, and we were hooked.

I wasn't one of those girls that had a wedding dress picked out or scouted the perfect venue in advance. So it's a little overwhelming to talk to married friends and get on the internet to see SO MANY CHOICES. There's a lot to think about and I better get organized. Any words of wisdom?!

Luckily, my mom's been through two weddings with my brother's and will be a huge help (not to mention the slew of creatives whose blogs I follow). We don't have a date or location yet...we're gonna enjoy this part for a while. But, there are a few things I've been eyeing already.

1 : a simple and classic Save the Date design
2 : my love of vintage tins to serve as centerpieces for flowers
3 : colorful cocktails with fancy stirrers
4 : the perfect pair of vintage wedding shoes
