::all over the place::

I've been having some issues with the new laptop...for some reason I thought I was technologically savvy. The Mac gods say otherwise. It sounds like there is a robot inside the cd-rom-- it makes a weird siren noise every now and then. I'm hoping it's newborn hiccups or something similar.

Cheers to working computers and a very happy weekend. Any big plans? I have two auctions lined up and I'm hoping to land an old, large metal sign at this one place. I went early to scout out the inventory up for auction, and I'm a big fan of vintage typography.

In case you're looking for some vintage home decor. 6 petals has you covered. Here are some of the more recent items in the shop.

from the top to bottom, left to right...

2/flower + birds ornate tin
3/cream-colored Westclox alarm clock
4/sage green potato ricer
5/solid brass impala bookends
6/{instant collection} nature-themed wall art

::shop update // nature calling::

An ode to flora and fauna. Those brass bookends are such a show stopper, those antlers! And of course, the vintage tin collection is growing. I'm also beginning to list some items in sets-- an instant collection. The first is a trio of wall hangings: flowers, deer and mushroom. Oh, and there's a butterfly in there.

::whoa, vintage in color::

I'm a big fan of Hilda Grahnat's many talents. Blown away by this vintage collection, photography and styling. Vintage galore...color coded.  Loving the tins, odds + ends with great typographical elements, cool lamps + a bunch of alarm clocks.

::shop update::

Not just a preview this time, some pretty cool vintage goods just hit the shop. Boxes and such.

Vintage boxes make storing things look better.
1. This wooden recipe card holder comes complete with aged dividers + a typewritten peach pie recipe.
2. A perfectly aged metal Zeno Chewing Gum cash box with beautiful branding on the lid.
3. 1950's Zenith Solid State radio in avocado green...and it works! Play that funky music.

Look for another shop update later today, too!

::from the shop, in her home::

I love seeing inside people homes. Don't you?! I always find myself saying, "why didn't I think of that?" Maybe that's why I pin so many amazing places and space. I'm also a shoeaholic, but we'll save that for another day.

My friend Lauren sent me these photos of how she decorated with items she got from my shop. I'm going to take credit for her new-found love of vintage tins.

Who said salt & pepper shakers had to go in the kitchen? Look at her stacking 'em. I love it. And using the tin and creamer as a cool bookend. She's so clever. Thanks, Lauren. You da best. Wish I could be catching lobsters with you in the Keys!

That photo is us with good friends at Warrior Dash. We wore tutus to run through mud and obstacles.

If you have pictures of how you styled items from my shop, feel free to email me, I'd love to see.

::a pretty 6 petals collection::

I adore vintage tins {as seen here}. Pretty and functional, they serve as storage and decoration. Lucky for you, there's a pretty collection in the shop.
