::irbw // comfortable::

I have this routine on the weekdays. When I get home, I'm pretty excited to slip into comfortable clothes. But comfortable doesn't have to mean sweatpants and t-shirts (although, it's hard to beat those perfectly worn-in cotton tees). One of my favorite pieces is a cotton wrap-- I have about 4 of these that are constantly in rotation.

If it were up to me, I'd rather be wearing these comfy duds...

::i'd rather be wearing::

Lately, I've been feeling at bit unstylish. I blame winter. But now that it's officially Spring, here's to getting out of this funk and into creative dressing. I'd rather be wearing these looks...

::irbw // rawr::

I know. It just looks like a bunch of letters in that post title, but I does mean something, I promise. It's been a while since my last 'I'd rather be wearing.' Today it's definitely jeans and an easy top. I wouldn't have come up with this button up + striped layer combo, but Rebecca works magic. I love how natural she is. Friday would be better in an outfit like this. She also makes me miss my long hair because I want to put a bun on top of my head.

::irbw // frances may::

Hello, Tuesday.

I hope you all had a lovely, loooong weekend of eating and celebrating. Things got a little crazy during our 4th festivities-- I had three sparklers at the same time! That's about as far as I go with at-home fireworks.

It's possible I had too many adult beverages and enough chocolate covered waffle cone ice cream for three people, so today I'd rather be wearing a comfy, slip-on dress. THIS one is perfect with it's easy flow, lilac color and asymmetrical hemline. Paired with THESE incredible mary-janes with wooden clog heel would complete my laid-back Tuesday get up.
p.s. it was hard to choose between all the pretty things from Frances May.

What did you do for the 4th?

::irbw // ikat skirt + nude::

Lucy Laucht is always classy, and she sure knows how to rock a skirt {her collection is mighty impressive}. I love her classic and feminie style + her fun pattern play. Ikat is a total win in my book. This look is a perfect mix: lovely chaotic blend of colors, high waist, thin belt and a nude crop top. And let's not forget about the shoes.

::irbw // coral + tan::

I've talked about Closet Visit here before. It's definitely a go-to when I need some style/decorating inspiration. This time it was so difficult to choose one outfit for what I'd Rather Be Wearing from actress Allison Miller. With her unique style, fun accessories and bright red lips, every image and every outfit had me swooning. Yes, swooning. I love THIS coral dress with peter pan collar and lace overlay + THAT pair of tan oxfords.

::irbw // alternative::

I'm loving this look from the Alternative Apparel Summer Lookbook. Since the heat is here already, I'll find myself wearing lots of breezy, patterned skirts like THAT with bold colored tanks like THIS. Oh, and daily sunscreen {I'm finally making an effort to protect my skin}.

::irbw // audrey's colors::

One of the first blogs I started following was a lovely escape. Audrey's style is classic, feminine and seems to be effortless. Most of the time, I shy away from busy patterns and let texture, color and details do the talking. Today I'd rather be wearing one of her latest outfits: THIS bold coral cropped blouse with simple white denim or THAT blushing pink button-down paired with a suede scalloped-edge skirt {not to mention her envy-worth wedges}.

Oh, and her home style is just as lovely as her clothing choices.

::irbw // from b jones closet::

I've envied Beth's {of B. Jones} closet since I stumbled upon her style blog last year. I love her creative mix of modern and vintage pieces that make her style truly unique. And her outfit above is one in particular that I'd like to steal replicate. The perfect, pleated red-orange colored maxi, classic striped tank and vintage belt with an armful of pretty bangles. And, I bet she's got some beautiful peep-toes wedges under there, too. What's not to love?

::irbw // swim::

I can't remember the last time I wore a one-piece, but Anthropologie has me adding them to my spring/summer wish list-- and they're pretty as ever. I love these two {among others in their collection, like this one}. Clean, feminine, geometric lines and hello! that plunging neckline is so sleek. The weather's a balmy 92 degrees, and all I want to be wearing is one of these beauties {an iced cocktail in-hand wouldn't be bad either}.

Cheers to a lovely weekend, friends!

Oh, and don't forget the 6 petals shop Spring-ish Sale is "blooming" until April 16th...

::irbw // waterproof::

Our Sunshine State isn't so sunny this week. The rain was endless yesterday and the forecast calls for more of the same until Friday. It's soggy out there, so today's I'd Rather Be Wearing consists of pretty duds to keep me dry.

::irbw // from the field::

Thank you Anthropologie for putting together such perfect pairings. Feminine, rustic and ready for spring.

Footnote: Wandered into Anthro last weekend and only walked out with 1 breezy, silk top. I'm giving myself {my bank account} a high five.

::irbw // neutrals + accessories::

Today, I'd rather be wearing a neutral pairing with a pretty vintage scarf (like Beatrice Valenzuela) or a floral belt + wide-brimmed hat (like model Jenny Lopez). I'd also rather be in a pretty green field or shopping in a tiny coastal village. Is that too much to ask?

::irbw // spring fever::

Let's start a poll here: who's ready for bare legs?!

I am.

How can you have a bad day if you're wearing pretty pinks or bold, feminine shorts like those? Now where can I find that lipstick?

{lots of questions, huh?}
