::plain white tee::

An absolute favorite in my closet is a plain white t-shirt. Although, I've only recently been investing in high quality tees that will last more than a season. Dress it up, dress it down. Crew neck or v-neck. What's better, is finding a nice vintage one that's already worn in and perfectly soft.

::soon::

It's almost here! If you follow 6 petals on Instagram you probably saw a sneak peek of a few items. And there's LOTS more to be photographed. The first round of the 6 petals vintage clothing collection is right around the corner.

Love at first sight. To further my strange obsession with the number six. I blame my older brother.

::more than a few::

Feeling much more inspired after an overdue pinning frenzy. It's been an interesting couple weeks with lots going on-- new ventures, bike rides, ladies nights, tons of design work, multiple episodes of Breaking Bad, and an upcoming trip that seems too good to be true.

Have a lovely week.

::exposed::

When it comes to a home, I'm all about the details-- built-in cabinets, vintage door knobs, those oddly placed tiny windows and exposed beams. That look of tall, crisp white walls with natural wood ceiling beams is such a show stopper, and they add so much character to a home. I'm keeping my fingers crossed (tightly!) to stumbled upon some of these details when we start the house hunt.

::lookbook inspiration::

I'm starting to save more style images I come across on various blogs, photog sites, editorials and Pinterest. Once I list some of the vintage clothing collection, I'd love to put together a fun lookbook. Nothing too wild. I envision more casual and candid shots in outdoor settings. There are lots of creative folks around the area and I'd love to start collaborating with others that share the same love for vintage, pretty photography, styling and adventure.

::back to basics::

I'm at that point where I'd like to take my whole wardrobe to Goodwill and start over. Not think twice, throw it in the bag and donate it kinda stage.

First on the list are a bunch of closet staples: plain cotton tees, nice denim, simple skirts and slip-on dresses. These are my favorites because they're classic, comfortable and easy to layer to create different looks.

::inspired by // the poor porker::

When I saw this post on Tomboy Style and watched the video I was amazed that little Lakeland, Florida was mentioned. That's where I went to college (and where I met Jay). It's a town filled with character, rich in Florida oranges and, for me, a place where many memories were made.

I wish I was still around to visit The Poor Porker at the local market for a hot, fresh beignet (I've never had one, but how can fried dough sprinkled with sugar be bad? AND bacon?!). Robyn and Jarrid have such a brave story about a cross-country move to start their business. And now their pastries are selling like hot cakes (had to).

I'm always a fan of people who turn trash into treasure, just look what this duo did with an old hutch they found in the dumpster! Oh, and Robyn's thrifted style is pretty impeccable. Check out The Poor Porker blog to see Robyn and Jarrid's awesome recipes, travels and how their thrifting and hand-crafting a unique home.

::decisions::

This weekend I'm hopping a plane home to Florida. My youngest niece is getting baptized (I'm her Godmother!) and I'm always so happy to spend time with my family.

The girls (mom, sister, sister-in-laws) will be galavanting around with me to scope out a few more wedding venues and try on dresses...which really hasn't hit me yet. I'm not one for being the center of attention, so trying on dresses will be interesting.

Luckily, my mother is Superwoman and has been so helpful (and patient-- I get overwhelmed making these kind of decisions). And, my little sister will be my Maid of Honor. She's all kinds of awesome. There's no one I'd rather have for the part.

I came across this fun, outdoor wedding and really loved the advice the couple shared:

Regardless of what color the tableclothes are and what our invitations look like, our focus is making sure we enjoy every second celebrating with the people we love most.

::pretty pins::

I'll admit it. I probably spend too much time on Pinterest. It's just so easy to find a ton of pretty pictures-- especially from Katie Kukulka's boards. Lots of floral, neutral tones and black & white beauties with an overall antique feel.

If you're looking for more inspiration, check out Katie's Lost Artisan blog.

::prepping // 6 petals vintage WEARS collection::

This weekend I am staying put to continue prepping for the vintage wears collection. I've decided to dedicate another shop to the 6 petals brand to separate the two collections: one for the home/spaces & one for the lady. I will also be updating the original shop. It's been so rewarding to hear kind words buzzing about the new site and peoples' excitement for the clothing collection. So, THANK YOU...so, so much.

For now, the two shops are bare bones. This is all part of the branding process I suppose. More sophisticated inventory and attention to detail. I promise, you'll like it.

::ankle boot heaven::

I know I just posted about some shoes, but today I came across Hudson. I'm in ankle boot heaven. The buttery soft leather, lovely brown shades + colors and fun little details. There's no way I could keep this jackpot to myself. Boot lovers unite!

::cut it out::

If there's one thing I have too many of, it's shoes. Stereotypical, I know. But I don't have any of these cool cut-out kicks. Which are your favorite?

::sepia style::

I love these grainy, sepia-toned images from Daniel Kincaid styled by Amy of Refuses to Label. The simple, flowy off-white dresses aren't too bad either.
