::color love // mint::

Yes, it's on trend, but I can't get enough of this color (my sister is addicted too)! My mom gave me a set of those juice glasses with a minty rim as an engagement gift. And I totally want that elephant head!

::cut it out::

If there's one thing I have too many of, it's shoes. Stereotypical, I know. But I don't have any of these cool cut-out kicks. Which are your favorite?

::cheerful color::

No doubt, orange is everywhere lately. I don't mind. In high school, I was the girl with the bright orange backpack. It's such a cheerful color that adds a lot of pop all around.

::healthful::

For the month of May I've vowed to drink green juice everyday and live off {mostly} fruits & vegetables. No meat. This isn't an attempt to become a vegetarian/vegan, though I fully respect that lifestyle. It's a challenge to eat more healthfully. Green juice is surprisingly sweet and filling! Every morning I juice whatever I picked up from the produce stand: kale, cucumber, apples (granny smith and pink lady usually), celery, ginger, cucumber, spinach, oranges – in some combination. Along with a banana, this holds me over until dinner when we roast, grill, bake or steam fresh vegetables. Have you ever seen purple asparagus? When you cook it, it turn green. Here's to eating colorfully...

::collage + illustration // lizzy janssen::

In looking for some help on my new website (with a designer whose work is so inspiring!) I came across another artists, Lizzy Janssen,  with a great eye for color and shares my love of mixed media. Collages make me weak in the knees...

If I ever have dressing rooms in my shop (one day), they'll look something like that up there.

::the perfect little seat::

I love the work of artist Ingrid Jansen for her company Wood & Wool Stool. I'd like a stool for each room, please. She makes them out of recycled wood and crochets the covers. Her space is pretty rad too. I'd love to visit her shop in The Netherlands one day.

::i'd rather be wearing::

Lately, I've been feeling at bit unstylish. I blame winter. But now that it's officially Spring, here's to getting out of this funk and into creative dressing. I'd rather be wearing these looks...

::eat it, wear it::

After a busy last week and eventful weekend, I'm finally sitting down to post. Hi.

How cool is this wearable foods series by Yeonju Sung -- constructive art forms made with food. Awesome colors naturally mixed with subtle prints. I'd rock a radish dress.

I finally got a juicer and I can't wait to try new recipes. The green juice was on tonight's menu. Anyone have a 'oh-my-you-need-to-try-this' concoction?

Three of my favorite colors. And pieces I'd definitely wear.

::illustrations // amy borrell::

Admiring the work of Amy Borrell– beautiful colors + perfectly delicate illustrations. She has a couple eye-catching blogs too (all the mountains and cake with giants).

Ever since I got a Wacom tablet I've been playing around with handwritten type and using hand-drawn elements in some of my design work. As I continue working on my new blog and website, I'll definitely be incorporating some personal touches (maybe a drawing or two).

::featured: mix + match // vintage pairs::

Emily of EL Vintage asked me to collaborate on a fun guest post. A while back I paired vintage goods with beautiful clothing. I'm surprised how well some of our items paired up together in terms of color and texture. You can say hello to Emily at her blog or shop.

::pure perfection::

Stopped dead in my tracks when I saw these images, all inspired by Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo. The colors, patterns, textures, lighting, lipstick and flowers are pure perfection. Round of applause for the photographer + stylist.
