::beauty via society6::

Just a few awesome images that caught my eye. There are so many talented artist collaborating in society6.

1. looking legendary by Bianca Green, 2. Core II by Orlagh Murphy, 3. Cicada by Teagan White, 4. Let the Children Play by Nazario Graziano, 5. A Deer Wearing Gym Socks by Charmaine Olivia, 6. Ocean Meets Sky by Terry Fan

::irbw // ikat skirt + nude::

Lucy Laucht is always classy, and she sure knows how to rock a skirt {her collection is mighty impressive}. I love her classic and feminie style + her fun pattern play. Ikat is a total win in my book. This look is a perfect mix: lovely chaotic blend of colors, high waist, thin belt and a nude crop top. And let's not forget about the shoes.

::Project ReStyle // leafy earrings::

I took a break from packing to get a little crafty.

I've been using this floral wire as a decoration on my light fixture since my college dorm days. It's survived a few moves, but this time I decided to part with the little pieces. Instead of the trash, I found a quick way to turn the pretty glass leaves into earrings. It was so easy.

I removed the leaves from the wire using a jewelry tool, opened the ear wire and added the glass leaf. Close it up and voila!

::outta town + a moving sale::

Remember when I said I had some exciting news? It's true, if you think moving to Virginia is exciting.

I do!

I've been hinting about it on Twitter and doing what I can to prepare. We're filling up J's covered trailer and packing our cars to head north-ish the end of this month. June is absolutely flying by. We've been spending most of this month having some lots of fun skydiving, exploring, camping and visiting family and friends all over Florida. Most of my family is here, which means we'll be back often.

Here are some shots of our most recent adventure to Melbourne:

The thought of moving out of state away from my family is rough, but I'm also eager to set out on this new adventure {I'll always be a Floridian at heart}. Of course, the actually move is never fun. So, we'll be making a stop at the cabin in Gatlinburg, TN for the 4th of July to spend some time in the Smoky Mountains.

Any Virginia bloggers out there?

With exciting news come MORE exciting news. 6 petals {the shop} is having a MOVING SALE. Now's the time to get your hands on the vintage goodies you've been eyeing. It doesn't hurt to look.

::flowers in your hair::

My friend Walt had a musical gig at a local wine bar {their porch is lighted with candles and string lights under aged oak trees, and they serve lemon-mint infused water + "funkadelic" wines. You should go}.

Walt played his own tune based on a true story "Lost My Wallet Last Night" -- a classic. I decided to wear flowers in my hair. You may recognize this flower headband from my second Project ReStyle. Go ahead, make your own.

Thanks for the photos, jbo!

::art mimics life::

Or, does life mimic art?

How cool are these fashion illustrations by Ashley of country girl city world. Each has perfect basics. Now, they come to life with some of my favorite real examples.

top: I love the feel of a white, silk button down. You can't go wrong with black & white.
middle: Anything from EmersonMade is perfect with me. I love the bold look of these red Kimchi pants.
bottom: Plain and simple-- a cute little crop top with flare leg jeans. An awesome flower child look.

::take a seat::

I love the idea of mixing an matching chairs for an eating area, especially when a couple are a little roughed up like that sky blue wooden school chair. Mix textures, colors and styles to create a one-of-a-kind space.

p.s. Unrelated to chairs, there's some exciting things happening in real life-- I'll be sharing soon! Hint: I'm NOT pregnant.

::lovely textiles + rusticness::

I stumbled across Aurelie Alvarez's website via Fanny's blog. These painted textiles and home decor items are outta this world. The paint chipped walls, peeling wallpaper and rustic colors & accents make my heart skip a beat. I've always loved dressing screens, and those two up there are beyond perfect.
