::tie it up::
You can usually find me running around with my hair up. And, if it's not up there's usually a hair tie on my wrist. Some call it lazy, I call it simple. These ReStylista hair ties are on my wishlist.

::from the shop, in her home::
I love seeing inside people homes. Don't you?! I always find myself saying, "why didn't I think of that?" Maybe that's why I pin so many amazing places and space. I'm also a shoeaholic, but we'll save that for another day.
My friend Lauren sent me these photos of how she decorated with items she got from my shop. I'm going to take credit for her new-found love of vintage tins.

Who said salt & pepper shakers had to go in the kitchen? Look at her stacking 'em. I love it. And using the tin and creamer as a cool bookend. She's so clever. Thanks, Lauren. You da best. Wish I could be catching lobsters with you in the Keys!
That photo is us with good friends at Warrior Dash. We wore tutus to run through mud and obstacles.

::a strong bond::
I had to share these amazing mother + daughter shots of Paige and her little girl from Pilgrims. Her photos are always breathtaking and she makes gorgeous handmade totes.
This weekend, J and I are heading back to Florida for moving trip #2. Flying in and driving back in a good ol' U-haul (with a boat on the hitch...should be interesting). Luckily though, I'll get to see my family. It's been less than a month since I've been in VA, but I miss my momma.

::sneak peek // a HUGE project::
For the past week, I've been working on this thing and let's just say it's my most intense Project ReStyle (I'm totally counting this as a ReStyle). Here's a little peek. I can't wait to show you guys the before and after!

::green beans can be cool, too::
After a long trip to the grocery store (does anyone else looove grocery shopping?) I stocked our refrigerator and cabinets with lots of foods. But, I love to keep fresh fruit and vegetables out on display. I picked up these green beans (mostly because they said "Fresh from Florida") and decided to make 'em look pretty.
I always have hemp cord. My brothers and I would make hemp jewelry during long car rides to pass time. I still find myself using it for all sorts of crafts and packaging. All you gotta do is gather them up and tie a bow around the bunch. You'll have the coolest green beans in town.

::an awesome space::
My Aunt Kathie is super smart, sophisticated, design savvy and just plain awesome. Her space reflects those same qualities and is so inspirational (just like her).
The inspiration board is filled with postcards, beautiful papers, photos, well-designed business cards, old postage stamps, dried leaves and other randomly collected items. I love the way she used tall clay pots to organize rulers, paintbrushes, pencils and paint sticks. And books, books, books everywhere!
What a perfectly simple design on these little booklets on her coffee table.
Can't wait to visit you in Seattle, Kathie. xoxo!

::the news::
We're finally moving into our new place today (just a rental for now). This place is too perfect. Picture this backyard: two gazebos with full grape and chocolate vines + string lights, sitting areas, a fire pit, fresh mint (perfect for infused water like this), colorful flowers, more berries than I can count and a garden ready to be planted. Oh, and a greenhouse. In case we want to really explore botany to the core.
I'd take pictures, but there was a major incident. J and I were on the dock and the wind blew over a chair where I laid my camera down for a second (don't do this) and kerplunk...right into the river. I leaped to grab it and got it out quickly, but it's beyond repair and so, so sad. At least I got one last shot...
p.s. Thanks for helping me choose which pair. I purchased the triangles yesterday.

::cool pins::
Pinning makes me happy.
places + spaces: I'd love to get my hands on that amazing mixed-media wallpaper, and what a clean & simple way to store bowls. uhm, that bench? to die for.
design inspiration: just because it's cool-- a girl (well, her head anyway) in a lemon tree, and a book page with pizazz.

::geometric dilema::
Okay people, I need your help.
I'm totally needing a pair of these bronze, geometric earrings from Upper Metal Class. After searching for a pair of simple studs in recent months and coming up empty handed, I've narrowed it down to three pairs below. I love them all, but WHICH will be the lucky studs to decorate my ear lobes?
That's where you come in...triangle, rectangle or circle?

::save it::
My health/fitness motivator friend, Nicole, is getting married next year and she asked me to design her save the dates (her fiance popped the question a few months ago). She found a cute little company that would print a custom design on birch wood postcards and vintage-inspired herb stamps from the post office.
The wedding "look" is classic and pretty with a rustic/handmade feel. She's sewing bunting for the isle and for the reception decor. We've had too much fun popping out of work to hit local thrift stores for milk glass vases, rustic wooden frames and vintage handkerchiefs to decorate, too. I can't wait to see it all come together for her big day. Next up, the wedding invitations!
Thanks for letting me be a part of it, Nicole! xo.

::irbw // frances may::
Hello, Tuesday.
I hope you all had a lovely, loooong weekend of eating and celebrating. Things got a little crazy during our 4th festivities-- I had three sparklers at the same time! That's about as far as I go with at-home fireworks.
It's possible I had too many adult beverages and enough chocolate covered waffle cone ice cream for three people, so today I'd rather be wearing a comfy, slip-on dress. THIS one is perfect with it's easy flow, lilac color and asymmetrical hemline. Paired with THESE incredible mary-janes with wooden clog heel would complete my laid-back Tuesday get up.
What did you do for the 4th?

::america::
::all natural::
Seriously, I'm still amazed by how beautiful it is here. Mountains, wild flowers, mushrooms, rocky streams, bright green frogs, and, best of all, lightning bugs. We spent an hour last night laying on our backs watching shooting stars and listening to thousands of cicadas.

::holy mountains::
We're on our way north, and our destination is Gatlinburg, Tennessee for a week before settling in Virginia. It's been difficult not stopping at every unique/side-of-the-road-sale/flea market-- there are plenty on I-75 between Georgia and South Carolina! I've already picked up a few items: a vintage recipe card holder + a copper rose (which I'll probably use as a book end).
Oh, and the Smoky Mountains are really somethin' -- Florida girls aren't used to seeing anything but flat land.
